MIA & NEW PENDANTS IN THE WORKS...

I've been MIA from my blog again and now I come back and everything's changed on me!!  The behind the scenes stuff of this blog has totally changed while I've been gone ~ how confusion!!  All going well I'll just muddle along, get the hang of it and everything will be fine :)

Gary's been away again, and my waking and sleeping hours have been a bit 'A' about but he's home again and I'm aiming to get back into a routine once more!

I've been flat to the boards with orders and just making cabs for the last couple of weeks.  You can see the cabs on my silvermoonlyn page on FB if you are interested.  You don't need to have a FB account to see the pictures, they are public.  You only need to sign in if you want to leave a comment over there.

I have quite a few new pendants in the works as well, but as yet they haven't seen any bails or wire needed to finish them.  I'm hoping to rectify that situation during the week.
Here's a sneak preview of what's on the way  :)

The first two have holes drilled through the glass.

The next four pictures are ones that have been channelled around the outer edge and are waiting for wire.  I have a few ideas to turn a couple of these into complete necklaces, not just pendants.

And these ones are waiting for glue on bails.  The palm tree ones are quite small pendants, they are both under 30mm high.

Now it's back to editing piccies for me so I can get some new listings up in my Artfire studio.
Have a great week everyone!!

NEW SLIDE PENDANTS...

I have three new slide pendants to share.
I'm loving the pastel colours ~ they are shot full of sparkles and they look pretty amazing in real life. The golden dragonflies on the pink is just so pretty and I really like how the tree of life has come up on the lavender. The new (to me) screen printed black enamel butterflies and dragonflies are also rather special. I'm just waiting on some more to arrive from the U.S. so I can have a play with different colours and types of backgrounds.

Here are some of the cabs that I was doing the other day and never got a chance to get back here to post them. If you follow silvermoonlyn on Facebook you would have seen these ones already.

OK ~ back to the glass grinder for me ~ have fun!!

TWISTS & TURNS....

This week saw me playing with lots of wire!! Not as much as a couple of years back, but heaps compared to what I have done in the past 2 years.
Fingernails are either wrecked completely or on the way out!! LOL.
I'd forgotten that side effect!!

These pieces are all for sale.
If not sold prior, they will be added to my ArtFire studio in the next week or so.

I also finished off my crocheted Pick Up Stix pendant. This was just waiting for the bail to be completed. As you can see I ended up with a fairly simple style. Anything else was just too fussy!! I'm very pleased with how it finished and it feels really nice against your skin.

This pendant was a cab from my ArtFire studio I was asked to do "something" with.
I really like this one too. The little emerald Swarovski crystal picks up the drifts of the same colour that is in the dichro.

And not wire, just me playing with asymmetrical design in engraving :^)
These little guys are about 49mm long x just under 10mm wide.

My final picture ~ this week a friend sent me these 2 gorgeous crocheted ropes. They feel seriously slinky, look fabulous on, the colours are just beautiful in real life ~ like a sparkly pink python!! AND they go with my favourite pendant PERFECTLY!!!! Thanks HEAPS Glen XX

I'm off to bed now, so goodnight and sweet dreams :^)

AWESOME BEADWORK...

I just had to share these pictures with you :^)
A little while back I sold some dichroic glass cabochons to a lady that does some amazing beadwork. Well, she sent me some 'work in progress' pictures the other day.
It is amazing to me the patience and skill she must have to do this type of work!
The cabs she got were great colours, but nothing out of the ordinary really.
They have been taken to new heights!!!!
I apologise in advance ~ I lost a bit of colour and resolution in the uploading process, but I'm sure you'll see what I mean.

These are really beautiful!!!
