Here is the new picture of the necklace after it has been antiqued. Much better I think :^)
Hello and welcome to my blog. As you have probably guessed by now, I am no longer updating here. Seems I have run out of space and older posts will be removed if I add new ones. If you would like to see what I am doing now ~ silvermoonlyn on Facebook is where you will find me. If you see a piece you would like there is a possibility something similar can be remade. Any questions, I am only an email away. You can click on any picture to make it bigger. cheers ~ Lyn.

WEEK 12
Not on theme this week - but that's OK :^)This piece started out as an experiment in some weaving and "morphed" into this. Originally it was going to be a bangle. I got a bit side tracked!
The woven bit is done with 4 metres of 22g sterling.
I have added dyed jade brios, amazonite beads and FW pearls.

WEEK 11 - WINDCHIMES IN THE BREEZE

This piece is not quite finished, but in the interest of not falling behind, I am posting what IS done.
I actually had a lot of fun figuring this one out.
Obviously it is a windchime - or rather it will be when I can get the pipes drilled for the final bit. At the moment it could just be a finished tassel :^)
I have used a ton of copper wire in this - and my hands are just about ready to fall off!! ...lol.
I have also included 2 malachite beads that my sister gave me some time ago - they weigh heaps and are a bit damaged, so I thought they would be perfect with the copper here.
The main body part of the tassel is about 3" wide and just over 2 "high. The overall length so far is about 16 & 1/2" and it should be about 24" when I finish it.

The final bits and pieces ready to go.

WEEK 10 - OCEAN BREEZE
Not so much a breeze really - but definately the colour of the ocean (the Coral sea) where we live.A bracelet and matching earrings using FW pearls, amazonite, lampwork beads and more Czech fire-polished glass.
Given that the average size of the beads in this bracelet is 10mm, and there are 52 of 'em on 20gauge headpins, plus the 16gauge used for the other sticky out bits - there is a serious bit of weight (& wire)to this piece.
And, it feels awesome on your wrist!! Prolly make a pretty lethal weapon into the bargain...lol.

WEEK 9
I guess I am sort of on theme for this week, with these little spirals. I couldn't make up my mind on what to do, so decided to let fate decree what was to be. I closed my eyes and grabbed a magazine from my stash, thinking I'll find something I can use or adapt (??) Another Art Jewelry project, altered significantly.A necklace and a pair of matching earrings using FW pearls, 3 different sizes and shapes of garnets and the hammered silver spiral/connector critters.
The wire size for the spirals is 18gauge, and a tiny bit of coiling done with 26gauge attaches these tiny garnet beads.
Everything else is 22gauge.
