Week 13

The only thing this week's entry has in common with the theme is mountains as they appear in the distance can sometimes look purple!!...lol.
Way off theme, but never mind.
These earrings are for a friend of mine to give to a friend of his. A last minute Xmas thank you.
Very quick and easy this week using 18G sterling soldered frames, 26G for wrapping and amethysts in 3 different shapes and sizes and some little rose quartz cubes.

MERRY XMAS
EVERYONE

I'll talk to you all again in the New Year!!

Week 12

This week sees me WAAAAY off theme again, but continuing on from what I started last week.
This is a commissioned bridal set I was asked to do.
Using the pendant from last week, and adding lots of freshwater pearls, crystals and some more Murano glass, I have fashioned this necklace, bracelet and a pair of simple earrings.
There is over 18 metres of silver wire here ( that's nearly 60 feet!) - that's a heap of wire!!

Also this week - I was having a fiddle with a couple of others things as well.
Eni's pendant, when only 2 wires will fit thru the hole - quite happy with how this worked, even if it is only an imported foil bead.

And practicing the old macrame skills on an absolutely gorgeous boro pendant bead a friend bought at the markets at Byron Bay.

Week 11

Well, this week - 1)..I'm late & 2)..I'm nowhere near the theme.
This strange looking critter is going to be the centrepiece of a necklace I am currently doing as part of a wedding set.
The pendant is really, truly Murano glass from Italy and looks way nicer IRL and will be combined with more of the same (round, square, heart-shaped), lots of baby blue freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals in 2 blues and crystal AB and a ton of silver wire!
The inspiration for this wrap came from Cammy ages ago (Excalibur?), even though this is only a single wire spiral and hers was double. It was the only logical way I could think to support this shaped piece.
I also made another really cool piece this week (well, I think it is!!), but I can't share that one yet 'coz it's my secret santa offering...lol.
